Tim VanCisin is an associate at Gebhardt & Smith, where his practice is developing into a diverse mix of creditors’ rights and litigation. He has represented secured lenders in matters that include troubled loan workouts, foreclosures, equipment liquidations, bankruptcy proceedings. He has also handled a variety of commercial litigation disputes including breach of contract, check fraud, and direct shareholder litigation.
Prior to entering private practice, Tim served as law clerk to the Honorable Sally D. Adkins (Ret.) of the Maryland Supreme Court. Tim earned his J.D. cum laude from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law where was inducted into the Order of Barristers and served as co-captain of Maryland’s National Trial Team and Articles Editor of the Journal of Business & Technology Law.
Prior to his legal career, Tim taught high school social studies and coached boys’ basketball in Maryland public schools for six years following the completion of his Masters in Teaching from Loyola University Maryland. Tim earned his undergraduate degree from Loyola University Maryland where he was a part of the Men’s Basketball program.
